arriving by plane:

at Tegel airport (TXL)
Berlin has three airports, Tegel is the most busy one, located 5 miles northwest of the city.
A taxi ride to the hotel will take about half an hour and will cost about 20 Euro.
At the main entrance of Tegel you will find a bus stop. Take bus no. 109 to the city centre. Do not board the express bus X9 which does not go to Kurfürstendamm. The bus ride on no. 109 will take about 15 minutes. At bus stop "Bleibtreustrasse" get off the bus and walk 50 m to the west on Kurfürstendamm (not to "Gedächtniskirche"), then turn left on Schlüterstrasse. Hotel Bogota is on the left side of the street, only 20 m south of Kurfürstendamm.

Schönefeld airport (SXF)
This is the former airport of communist "East-Berlin", about 20 miles southeast of the city center.

At the main entrance, the Airport Express Bus leaves for the city center every 15 minutes. You can ride that bus til bus stop "Kurfürstendamm", then walk west on Kurfürstendamm to Schlüterstrasse or hire a taxi. The trip from Schönefeld to the hotel might take some 40 minutes.

Schönefeld airport is not directly connected to the Berlin subway or S-Bahn system. However, there is a shuttle bus that connects Schönefeld to the nearest S-Bahn station which is "Flughafen Schönefeld" . This shuttle bus is free. At "Flughafen Schönefeld" take the S9 to S-Bahnhof "Savigny-Platz". The S-Bahn-ride might take some 40 minutes.

At Schönefeld, bus 171 connects the airport to the nearest subway station which is "Rudow". At "Rudow" take the U7 towards "Spandau". After some 30 minutes, get off the subway at "Adenauerplatz", then walk some 500 m to the east on Kurfürstendamm, towards "Gedächtniskirche", then turn right on Schlüterstrasse, Or, at Adenauerplatz take a taxi. Hotel Bogota is 20 m south of Kurfürstendamm on the left side of Schlüterstraße.

arriving by train:

arriving at Bahnhof Zoologischer Garten ("Zoo")
Hotel Bogota is only half a mile from Bahnhof Zoo. All ICE/"intercity" trains stop at Bahnhof Zoo (the building has been renovated recently). At the entrance, there are taxis waiting in lane day and night. A taxi ride to Hotel Bogota will take about 10 minutes and costs about 5 Euros.

Right across the street at the entrance of Bahnhof Zoo there are bus stops. Bus 109 takes you to Kurfürstendamm. Get off at bus stop "Bleibtreustraße" and walk 50 m on Kurfürstendamm to the west (not towards Gedächtniskirche in the east). At "Schlüterstraße" turn left. Hotel Bogota is 20 m south of Kurfürstendamm.

Alternatively, you might board the famous Berlin S-Bahn at Bahnhof Zoo, ride one station to the west, getting off at "Savignyplatz". From there, walk south on Bleibtreustraße, then right on Kurfürstendamm, then left on Schlüterstraße.

arriving at Ostbahnhof
If your train also stops at Bahnhof Zoo do not leave the train at Ostbahnhof. Ostbahnhof might be mentioned as destination on your train schedule but all Intercity trains also stop at Bahnhof Zoo. If you do leave the train at Ostbahnhof switch to the Berlin S-Bahn train system. S-Bahn No 3, 5, 7 and 9 all take you west to S-Bahn-Stop ""Savignyplatz". At Savignyplatz take a taxi to the hotel (5 minutes, 5 Euros) or walk south 200 m on Bleibtreustraße, then west on Kurfürstendamm to Schlüterstraße. Hotel Bogota is 20 m south of Kurfürstendamm. Traveling by S-Bahn will take about 15 minutes. At Ostbahnhof, you might also board a taxi, day and night. A taxi ride from Ostbahnhof will take half an hour at night, one hour during rush hours.

from the west (Hannover - Autobahn A2)
driving on the A2 from Hannover do not take the exit to Hamburg at the intersection "Autobahndreieck Werder" but keep straight on to the A 10, called "Berliner Ring" which is the outer Autobahn circle that surrounds Berlin. After 8 miles you will reach the intersection "Autobahndreieck" (triangle) Potsdam where you should keep straight on. Do not take the exit to Leipzig/Halle/Nürnberg. After 10 more miles you will reach "Autobahn triangle" Drewitz south of Berlin. Here, do not miss the exit. Follow the signs indicating "Berlin-Zentrum" and drive north on A 115. After 15 miles you will reach the AVUS city autobahn and the "Funkturm" (radio tower) appears at the horizon. Close to "Funkturm" the autobahn divides into three lanes. You must follow the signs indicating "Kurfürstendamm/Wilmersdorf". In a sharp curve to the right you will switch over to "Innerer Ring" which is the inner circle of the autobahn that surrounds Berlin. You will not have time to think: after 500 m do not miss the exit "Kurfürstendamm". You will then drive on famous "Kudamm". After 3 km turn right on Schlüterstraße, Hotel Bogota is 20 m to the left, south of Kurfürstendamm.

from the south (Leipzig/Hof - Autobahn A9)
On the autobahn A9 from Leipzig/Hof(Nürnberg you will reach the "highway triangle" Autobahn-Dreieck Potsdam. Here, do not take the exit to Hamburg but keep straight on. After 10 miles you will reach "Autobahn triangle" Drewitz south of Berlin. Here, do not miss the exit. Follow the signs indicating "Berlin-Zentrum". On A 115 drive north. from the north (Hamburg - Autobahn A11)
On autobahn A24 (Hamburg) you will reach the "highway triangle" Autobahn-Dreieck Havelland where you should not take the exit to Hannover, but keep straight on to Berlin, towards the Berliner Ring (Autobahn A 10) which is a wide autobahn circle surrounding Berlin. After 8 miles you will reach the Autobahndreieck Oranienburg north west of Berlin. Here, you must follow the signs indicating "Berlin-Zentrum". You will reach the A 111, that leads south to Berlin Zentrum. After 20 miles "Funkturm" radio tower appears to your right. Close to Funkturm, switch to the right lane of the highway, follwing the signs "Kurfürstendamm/Wilmersdorf". In a sharp right turn you will reach the "inner circle"/Innerer Ring, that leads you 500 m southwest. Here, do not miss the exit "Kurfürstendamm" after 500 m! On famous Kurfürstendamm, keep on for three miles, then turn right into Schlüterstraße. Hotel Bogota is 20 m to the left, south of "Kudamm".
